Restaurant hopping wasn't part of our weekend plan. We've decided that dearie would plan lunch and I plan dinner. But we ended up visiting a few restaurants and stuffing our faces with food.

The bf brought me to Leichhardt for lunch. He's been wanting to try out the Italian cuisine there but just didn't have the time and company to do so.

We ended up at The Italian Forum.

We just picked a random restaurant and we ended up at Sapore.

Arrived at the restaurant at 12.32pm

Had our entrees at 12.44pm.
And then, we waited patiently for our mains.

20 minutes later, we asked one of the waitress for our mains.

Darling looking hungry and frustrated cos we were both hungry.
Ordered a garlic bread to fill us up while waiting.
Mind you, all the other tables who arrived later than us had already gotten their mains.
And we are still waiting.
WTF!

Garlic bread came at 1.22pm.
Still, no sight of our mains.
Asked for our mains again.

After 5 minutes, we can't tolerate the bad service any longer. We asked them for the bill cos we've waited for almost an hour and our bloody mains are not here yet. WTF! The rude and arrogant waiter who took our order tried to cover his ass and explain the situation to us. He told us our mains were ready and asked if we want to takeaway. We said 'No, we just want the bill. We've waited for almost an hour and it still isn't here. This is unacceptable.' The waiter then proceed by telling us that we've been in the restaurant for only 23 minutes. WTF! This is bullshit. I checked my time and I'm definitely sure I'm not wrong. We firmly asked for our bill. Paid and left the restaurant. The service was horrible. I would never recommend it to anyone.

As soon as I left, I realised that my camera has time on it. I should have showed it to them. The camera never lies. Then I won't have to pay at all. Damn.

We went to another restaurant after that cos our tummy's weren't even half filled.

Carpaccio was our next destination.
The decision to dine there was random too.
By now, I'm a little scared of random unplanned decisions.
I need to look at reviews now before I go to a restaurant.

Ordered a pizza to share.

Then Tiramisu.
Italian restaurants are famous for their homemade tiramisu.
This one was just so-so.
I believe there are better ones out there waiting to be discovered.
The service at this restaurant was 100 times better than the previous.

We then went opposite the street to a small cafe.

Looked small outside but certainly isn't small inside.
The ambience and the decor of the cafe is amazing.
Everything in the cafe seems to be organic.

My flat white and his earl grey tea.

He loved the honey so much that he almost finished the entire bottle.
*joking*

The bottle was actually very cute.

After lunch, we went to broadway to do some shopping since the weather was freaking hot. Where else than shopping center for free air-cond. Besides, I wanted to check out that maxi dress that I saw the other day. Needed an opinion too.

End up, my dearie got me this dress.

And I got him a pair of aviator sunnies.
I think it really suits him.
Don't cha think so?

For dinner, I brought him to Capitan Torres for some spanish food.

Started with 1/2 liter sangria.

Then paella.

By now, both of us were too full to fit anything anymore.
Hence, we decided to check out the events for Festival First Night.
It's sort of like a musical event in Sydney.
Streets were closed to make way for musical performances by amazing artists.

First stop, Hyde Park.

The year of the Tiger..my year. gggrrrrr...

Next pitstop, martin place.

On the way to The Domain.
We couldn't get into Domain cos it was at it's full capacity. Dang!

ANZ giving out free water.

Chifley square.
Final stop, the rocks.

Had our so called supper at Guylian cafe.

My second and final cup of coffee for the day.

Went home at 1130pm. Feeling happy, tired, fat and full.

I had a different kind of New Year's Eve this year. There is finally a year where I can retire from planning or organizing something. Usually, if there are any big event, I was always the planner who brings everyone together.

Butttt, this year... everything was all planned out by my darling. He had the entire 31st and 1st planned cos those are my only day off from work. My role was just to follow whatever he says.

We had a simple sushi lunch at 12 noon. And then he brought me somewhere for my surprise.

The four seasons hotel...

When he brought me there, I kinda knew what my surprise was.

Yes, spa and massage.
I had been complaining about muscle and body ache for the past few weeks.
And then, the bf surprise me with a 90 minute spa session at the four seasons hotel.

Inside the ladies changing room.

The steam room.

He waited for me patiently as I went in and rejuvenate myself. The massage was so good that I fell asleep. And, I think I snored too. Gosh! How embarrasing.

Then, the bf brought me to Max Brenner for some sinful chocolate indulgence. Since I had a sweet tooth, he knew this was the perfect way to pamper his missus.

Hot chocolate with crunchy waffle bites.

The bf loves max brenner's waffles.
He loved it so much that he could actually lick the entire plate.

After packing on the calories, we decided to head home and get change for dinner tonight. The bf made a reservation at a french restaurant.

French baguette

Onion soup with croutons and cheese

Us

I ordered the lamb.

The bf got the veal.

He looks angry cos I keep taking pictures and don't let him eat just yet.

The view from the restaurant.

After dinner, we started walking along george st towards circular quay to wait for the fireworks at midnight.

Everyone was walking on the street since the road was closed.

The church at town hall.

I like this picture but too bad it was blur.
Pssst: We actually took this picture in front of the church.

P/s: We didn't wait for the fireworks cos it was too pack at circular quay. Everyone was shoulder to shoulder distance. I know how much the bf wanted to see the fireworks but I couldn't stay on. It was too pack, my feet was hurting and we couldn't even get a good view cos all the entrance was blocked. Maybe better luck next year.

I know I'm suppose to blog about my gold coast trip. But as of now, I seriously don't have the time. Like Jeslin said, it's growing spiderwebs. To make things easier for people, I shall write a christmas wish list.

Honestly speaking, I have no idea what I want. I'm not kidding. I asked for friendship and love. I've already got it. So what more can I ask for? Plus, all the things that I want are wayyyyy too expensive. Don't even bother seriously.

  1. Cartier Love Yellow Gold bracelet
  2. Flight ticket back to MAS
  3. Chanel bag
  4. Iphone 3GS

There you go. My christmas wishlist which would burn a hole in your pockets.

Just surprise me is all I can say. I will be happy even if it's just a christmas card.

Just got back from a roadtrip with the family. We stopped by Port Mcquarie, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Brisbane as well as Sunshine Coast. It was an awesome trip. Took gazilion amount of pictures. Just imagine me taking 2 hours just to rotate all my pictures. Thats how many. I haven't even had the chance to upload it on facebook. I've been working everyday ever since I got back from my holiday. I shall do it over the weekend. Promise.

In the mean time, here's some sneak preview of what we did.

I shall blog about my awesome trip soon. Be patient peeps!

She has an obsessive and compulsive nature. She loves having her grande Green Tea Frappucino from Starbucks accompanied with their blueberry muffin. She is a girl who loves doing random things just to satify her hunger for something exciting. She would walk for 10 minutes just to get her favourite ice cream no matter rain or shine. Sushi is something that she would not say no to. She enjoys her shopping more when she is stressed, sad or happy. She thinks regular shots of tequila is the perfect way to end the semester.
